Review Events

http://www.photolucida.org/images/PortfolioReviewGuide.pdf
A "How-to" guide for presenting work at a photo review event. Like my workshop, but more thorough.

http://www.photolucida.org/critique.aspx
Photo Lucida of Portland offers what, in my opinion, is now the premier review event in the country. Registration is closed for the Spring 2007 event, but pay attention to get in for 2009.

http://www.photolucida.org/critique.aspx
Art Fairs International article about Photolucida by Bill Kouwenhoven. Good overview of the history of review events, and what the Photolucida experience is like.

http://www.fotofest.org/
The biggest and oldest event in the US in Houston, this biennial event draws more international reviewers than anyone else. The Meeting Place, the name of their 2 week long review event, happens again in the spring of 2006, though the deadline for entering the lottery for getting into it is long past.

http://www.sfcp.org/programs.cfm?p=Review
Review Santa Fe’s deadline is December 15, 2006 for the May 2007 event. This is a juried event, meaning you have to submit a portfolio to be considered as a reviewee.

http://www.fotofusion.org/index.html
This is a 4 day January event (well past hurricane season) in Palm Beach, Florida.

http://www.rhubarb-rhubarb.net/
This is one of Europe’s biggest review events, held in August in Birmingham, England.

http://www.festivaloflight.org/
A rather clunky interface to a vast array of photography festivals around the world.

http://dougplummer.blogs.com/dispatches/2005/03/preparing_for_p.html
The initial entry to the blog I kept at this year’s Photo Lucida.

Other
